SAFe® Product Owner/Product Manager

SAFe® Product Owner/Product Manager Training Course

SAFe® Product Owner/Product Manager training course is a two-day course for product professionals and how they can use the Scaled Agile Framework® (SAFe®) to deliver value to their organization. The content covers activities and events right from the portfolio level down to the team level.

SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager provides detailed understanding of how to deliver value with a team of agile teams, called an agile release train, who are working collaboratively. It covers how ideas progress from the portfolio level through to becoming user stories for the agile teams to work on. Delegates learn about continuous exploration, continuous integration and continuous deployment. Release on demand and the DevOps culture is also covered.

This Scaled Agile Framework certified class prepares the delegates to take the associated exam and become a SAFe 5 Product Owner / Product Manager (POPM). At the end of the course, the delegates will be sent the materials necessary to take the online exam; including copies of the slides, a study guide and access to the practice exam.

This course is designed so that delegates will be able to:

  1. Apply SAFe values and principles to their product owner or product manager roles.
  2. Work effectively with the lean portfolio management function.
  3. Explore and deliver continuous value to the organization.
  4. Fully understand and be able to articulate their role within the Scaled Agile Framework.
  5. Create a plan of action for their role.

Audience, pre-requisites and assumed knowledge

There are no specific pre-requisites for this course. We are a friendly team of practitioners and we like to provide a personal level of support, before, during and after the class:

  • Pre-course reading designed to expose questions so that they can be explored in class.
  • Contact details allowing delegates to ask questions to the trainer before and after the class.
  • Access to a comprehensive set of guidance after the course so that delegates can apply what has been learnt.
  • Digital course effectiveness surveys with results sent out to delegates and sponsors straight after the class.
